Stergios A. Paschos, a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away in Drama, Greece, on January 5, 2024, at the age of 97. He left behind a legacy of love and resilience and was surrounded by his beloved family, both in the United States and in his native Greek community.

Stergios was born on March 13, 1927, in Alistrati, Greece, where he grew up alongside his five brothers. In 1958, he met his soulmate, Eleni, and together, they moved to the United States in 1970 with the hope of building a better life for their two sons, Athanasios A/K/A Thomas (Lucy Tierney) and Chris (Denise Spaventa). Stergios was a trained tailor in Alistrati, Greece, where he had his own tailor shop, but decided to embark with his family to the United States in 1970.

Despite the sudden loss of his beloved wife, Eleni, in 1971, Stergios remained determined to create a brighter future for his family. In the US, he worked hard as a tailor and a hot dog vendor and persevered to secure a promising future for his sons. Stergios did not return to Greece until his retirement at the age of 66, where he spent the remaining 31 years of his life surrounded by the love of his brothers, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Stergios lived a long and fulfilling life, finding peace in his beloved hometown of Drama, Greece, where he eventually passed away. A humble and loving man, he always had a smile on his face and spoke kindly about others. Stergios found joy in the company of family and friends, leaving behind a legacy of warmth, kindness, and compassion.

He is survived by his sons, Thomas and Chris, and their respective families: Lucy Helen (Ben O’Brien), Stephen, Mary (Grant Latran), Joseph, Catherine, Monica, Eleni, Matthew, and great-grandchildren Theodore, Charlotte, and Josephine.

Stergios A. Paschos will be remembered not only for his unwavering determination but also for the love he showered upon those around him. His memory will forever be a source of inspiration, and he will be dearly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
