THI’s 13th Annual New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street

On December 6, 2025, The Hellenic Initiative will host its 13th Annual New York Gala at Cipriani Wall Street. The event has become a highlight for the Greek diaspora, bringing together guests from around the world to support programs in Greece while celebrating community and culture.

The program begins at 6:30 pm with cocktails and a silent auction, followed by dinner and awards at 8:00 pm. At 10:00 pm, the evening shifts into an afterparty with live entertainment and dancing. The setting is Cipriani Wall Street, a historic Greek Revival landmark with a soaring dome and marble columns that has hosted many of New York’s most important cultural events.

Tickets are available through Eventora. Individual seats are priced at $800, while New Leaders, the group for participants 45 and under, have a dedicated ticket tier at $400. Sponsorship packages are also offered, ranging from supporter tables to chairperson levels, which include preferred seating, recognition, and access to additional THI events. The dress code is black tie, as in previous years.

The Gala has a strong record of impact. In 2023, nearly 900 guests attended, and $2.5 million was raised to launch THI’s Summer Youth Academy, a program offering mentorship, sports, and life skills for young people in Greece. In 2022, Pfizer CEO and Thessaloniki native Dr. Albert Bourla was honored, with $2.2 million raised for humanitarian and economic programs. Previous galas have also recognized philanthropist Ted Leonsis and supported initiatives such as ReGeneration, which has created thousands of job opportunities for young Greeks.

For attendees, the evening is both a celebration and a way to contribute directly to Greece’s future. Funds raised through the Gala have helped provide meals to families facing food insecurity, offered mentorship and career guidance to students and recent graduates, and supported new businesses through startup funding. These programs show how the diaspora can play an active role in strengthening Greece from afar.

The Gala also brings together the next generation. THI’s New Leaders chapters, made up of members aged 21 to 45 in cities like New York, London, and Sydney, offer young professionals the chance to connect, network, and take part in direct philanthropy. The dedicated New Leaders ticket category ensures they are part of the evening in New York as well.

For many, this gathering is more than a formal dinner. It is a chance to connect with heritage, renew friendships, and show that the Greek diaspora remains united. THI’s motto, Oli Mazi, All Together, reflects the spirit of the evening.
