Upper Darby, PA – The third Annual Top Shelter Chef Contest was hosted at St. Demetrios Church this past Saturday night. The event was sponsored by the Community Action Agency of Delaware County Inc (CAADC).
Five churches, synagogues and mosques united for the annual event that raised thousands of dollars for homeless shelters around the Delaware Valley.
Upon entering the church gym and paying a small entrance fee guests got a chance at raffle items that were donated by local business. Co-chairs Stephanie Abbott and Ann Shiffer worked the floor distributing tickets and ran the affair.
Guests then made the rounds trying food from each station before casting their vote for best food. The evening also featured Greek dancing provided by St. Demetrios dance troupe.
