Pilgrims crawl through the main port town of Tinos to the landmark Greek Orthodox church of Panagia Evangelistria. Each year, on August 15th, Tinos becomes a place of worship on the Dormition of the Virgin Mary. Pilgrims of the Greek Orthodox faith from around the world attend the annual service.
