The big white tent is up in Upper Darby, where St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church is welcoming visitors for its Greek Wine and Food Festival at 229 Powell Lane.
The festival continues through the weekend with homemade Greek food, traditional pastries, Greek wine, music, dancing, and the familiar hospitality of the parish community. Guests can eat under the tent, listen to live entertainment, and take part in one of the area’s regular spring gatherings for Greek food and culture.
A video from the festival shows the big white tent filled with food, music, dancing, and visitors gathered around the tables.
Food remains at the center of the festival, with parish volunteers preparing savory dishes, desserts, and festival favorites throughout the weekend. Greek wine is also available, adding to the relaxed atmosphere around the tables, music, and dancing.
Free parking is available on site. Online ordering is also available through udgreekfest.com for those who want to pick up food and desserts to take home.
