Cherry Hill, NJ. Wearing their favorite Philly sports jerseys, the Junior Orthodox Youth rallied to raise funds for the people of Haiti. St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church hosted the event, which brought together young members of the Greek Orthodox community from across the Delaware Valley.
The Walk-a-thon featured kids from 3rd through 6th grade. Split into two groups, they marched around the gym, earning a check mark on their tags for each lap. Every check mark represented a donation from a sponsor, with all proceeds going to the Hands of Humanity project in Haiti.
Throughout the afternoon, the kids played games, shared lunch, and enjoyed being part of this first-ever fundraiser.
