PGBL Season Opens with New Colors, New Teams, and Fresh Energy
The Philadelphia Greek Basketball League tipped off its new season with a wave of changes that may shift the entire dynamic of the league. New team colors, roster shake-ups, and fresh talent gave opening night a renewed sense of excitement.
Players returned from the summer break with plenty of smiles, handshakes, and hugs. The sense of community was strong — and yes, the St. Demetrios snack bar delivered once again, with its spanakopita as perfect as ever.
Three games played out this past Thursday evening, featuring six of the league’s nine teams. The crowd may have been quiet to start, but that’s sure to change as the season heats up.
