Philadelphia, PA – The first meeting of the season for the Federation of Hellenic American Societies took place this past week at Evangelismos Greek Orthodox Church in Northeast Philadelphia. More than 20 representatives from local churches and Hellenic organizations gathered to discuss upcoming community initiatives.
Two key topics led the agenda: the annual Greek Independence Day Parade and an exciting new youth initiative. Local students are currently organizing a youth conference to be held in Philadelphia this fall, aiming to bring together young Greek Americans from across the region for discussion, networking, and cultural celebration.
The Federation officially announced its sponsorship of the youth conference, with more details to be shared in the coming weeks.
The meeting reflected a strong spirit of collaboration and a renewed focus on engaging the next generation of leaders in the Greek-American community.
