Saint Louis University is now accepting applications for the Greek Educational Partnership Scholarship (GEP-SLU), a program that gives Greek graduates the chance to pursue a fully funded Executive Master of International Business in St. Louis, Missouri. The scholarship covers full tuition, along with academic books, journals, and health insurance, as outlined in the program flyer.
The partnership began in 2023 with the support of John and Keve Gialouris, whose involvement with the Boeing Institute of International Business helped establish the first formal academic connection between Greece and SLU’s Chaifetz School of Business. The university describes the program’s purpose clearly:
“The goal is to educate students who seek to fully understand the U.S. free enterprise system and apply that understanding to international entrepreneurship and commerce upon returning to Greece.”
Interest in the scholarship has grown since its launch, especially among graduates seeking international experience without the financial barriers typically associated with studying abroad.
A Graduate Program Built for Global Business
The Executive Master of International Business (EMIB) is a 21-month hybrid program designed for working professionals. Students meet on campus one Saturday each month, with the remaining coursework completed online.
The curriculum covers international markets, strategic decision-making, economic analysis, and global risk and resilience. It also explores how modern tools such as artificial intelligence and data analytics shape decision-making in today’s international organizations.
A defining component of the EMIB is a two-week residency abroad in either Latin America or Asia. Students meet with business leaders, government officials, and diplomats, gaining firsthand insight into how companies operate in emerging markets.
Eligibility
Applicants must:
- Hold an undergraduate degree
- Complete the TOEFL
- Have two to three years of professional experience
- Submit a GMAT if they have fewer than three years of experience
- Demonstrate community involvement and leadership potential
The scholarship is designed for students based in Greece, since applicants must apply as international students and meet requirements such as the TOEFL.
SLU evaluates each candidate’s academic background, career direction, and community record in line with its Jesuit mission and values.

Greek Scholars at SLU
