Nominations are now open for the 2026 “Forty Under 40” awards, an annual recognition program organized by the Greek America Foundation that highlights young leaders of Greek descent across the United States and Canada.

The program recognizes individuals who have achieved distinction in their professional fields while also demonstrating meaningful philanthropic or community involvement.

Past recipients have included professionals across a wide range of fields, from business and law to the arts and sciences, reflecting the breadth of the Greek-American and Greek-Canadian experience.

Eligible nominees must be U.S. or Canadian citizens or legal permanent residents and have at least partial Greek heritage. According to the foundation’s guidelines, candidates must be between the ages of 17 and 40 based on their age during the 2025 calendar year, a cutoff used to determine eligibility for the 2026 class.

Nominations must be submitted by someone other than the nominee and must include a formal letter outlining the candidate’s accomplishments and community impact. Letters are limited to 1,000 words and should provide specific examples of both professional work and philanthropic involvement.

A minimum $50 donation is required to complete the nomination, which the foundation states helps cover administrative costs and support its broader programming.

Submissions are reviewed by a selection committee made up of previous Forty Under 40 recipients, with final honorees chosen based on professional achievement and community impact.

The deadline to submit nominations is April 30, 2026.

Full details and submission requirements are available on the official nomination page.
