Greek Americans buying, selling, or inheriting property in Greece will have a chance to put their questions directly to banking, legal, real estate, and tax professionals at a free New York forum on Tuesday, September 29.
The Hellenic-American Chamber of Commerce and the Hellenic Lawyers Association will present “Real Estate Bought or Inherited in Greece and Bank Financing” from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Chiotes Hall, 337 East 74th Street in Manhattan.
The panel will include Ioannis Ganos, CEO of Alpha Real Estate Services S.A.; Konstantinos Papadopoulos, Individual Banking Director at Alpha Bank S.A.; Sophia-Elena Mystakidi, Managing Attorney for Greek Legal Affairs at Pardalis & Nohavicka; George Pipergias, Real Estate Consultant with Amvrosia Development; and Dr. Chris Holidis, president of C & J Global Consultants LLC, a former IRS examiner and U.S. tax preparer.
The discussion will cover buying and selling property in Greece, inherited real estate, the obligations that come with ownership, and financing through Greek banks. The program will also address financing terms and the process of opening a Greek bank account digitally, with questions from attendees forming part of the session.
