Along the parkway entrance of the Philadelphia Art Museum, a 5th century B.C., replica statue, titled “Charioteer of Delphi” stands. A plaque below reads, “from the cradle of democracy in the ancient world to the cradle of democracy in the new world. From the People of Greece to the People of America”.
