Philadelphia, PA – St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Philadelphia held a Beef and Beer fundraiser last week, bringing together parishioners, friends, and supporters for a good cause. Sponsored by the Philoptochos Society, the event aimed to raise funds to combat hunger in the local community and to support the ongoing restoration of the historic cathedral.

A portion of the proceeds was donated to Philabundance, a regional organization dedicated to hunger relief. The rest will go toward much-needed repairs and preservation efforts at St. George, one of the city’s oldest and most significant Greek Orthodox churches.

As the cathedral continues its revitalization, it is also planning a series of community events this winter and spring. For more information on what’s coming up, visit their website at www.saintgeorgecathedral.org.
