The St. Sophia Philoptochos, “Pistis, Elpis & Agape,” has launched its Spring Food Drive, inviting donations of non-perishable food items to support local families in need.
Donations can be dropped off in the lobby of the Fr. John A. Limberakis Cultural Center through May 10, 2026.
All collected items will benefit The Upper Room in Norristown, which serves residents facing food insecurity. FOCUS Philadelphia also supports the pantry by providing weekly hot meals.
Donations include pantry staples such as canned fruit and vegetables, dried or canned beans, canned tuna, chicken or salmon, soups and stews, peanut butter, whole-grain rice or pasta, healthy cereal, oatmeal, and protein or snack bars.
Organizers are encouraging parishioners and community members to contribute what they can to support neighbors in need.
