Upper Darby, PA – On Thursday evening, all over the Delaware Valley, the power was out due to an ice storm and freezing rain. But at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church, the spanakopita was fresh and hot and the games went on. The PGBL season is winding it’s way down to the final weeks. On the second to last week, six teams met up in a quiet gym.
The first match up featured the Wolfpack and Rip City. Rip City always challenges and stayed close to the Wolfpack before losing. Final score, Wolf Pack 77, Rip City 56. The Sixers who are last years champs, met up with the winless FOB in game two. The Playoff bound Sixers beat FOB. Final score: Sixers 58, FOB 49.The red hot Kings are on a tear. They crushed the Spartans who have improved tremendously from last year as the Grizzlies. Final score: Kings 77, Spartans 33.
