October 7, 2012. Upper Darby, Pa. The Greek Orthodox Basketball league of the Delaware Valley kicked off it’s fall 2012-2013 season this past weekend at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox church. Two girls games and one boys were played. St. George of Media girls won a tough battle against the St. Demetrios Girls (b) team 14-10 in game one. The boys of Holy Trinity, Egg Harbor NJ, blew out St. Lukes of Broomall by a score of 41-11 in the second match up. Game three also turned out to be a decisive victory for the Holy Trinity girls of Egg Harbor. They beat St. George of Media (B,team) by a score of 24-8. Next weeks games will take place at St. Lukes Greek Orthodox church in Broomall, Pa.
