Upper Darby, PA – The Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and Delaware Valley hosted its November meeting yesterday and announced the official date of the Greek Independence Parade for 2018. March 25th, the actual day of Greek Independence will be hosted this year on its true date of recognition. Annually, the date is marked traditionally later in the Philadelphia area due to holiday and Evzone appearances.

The parade fundraiser was also announced. January 13th, 2018, at Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox community center in Upper Darby, the Federation will host a Greek Night. All proceeds will go to the parade. Topazi and Paounis will headline the evening. The entire Greek community is encouraged to attend and support this event that celebrates and preserves the largest annual tradition in the Greek-American community.
