The event is set for May 18, 2024, from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at St. Sophia Greek Orthodox Church, featuring a film that has garnered over 50 global awards and been showcased at prestigious venues, such as the Los Angeles Greek Film Festival and Grauman’s Chinese Theatre.
“In Support of Liberty” has been praised for its poignant exploration of the Greek War of Independence and its profound connection to the Greek American community, brought to life through Kostans’ exceptional visual storytelling. Eleftherios Kostans has been pivotal in photojournalism and filmmaking for over thirty years. His work has been recognized by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education and showcased by the BBC and at the Greek Consulate in New York City. His profound connection to the Greek American community is reflected in his roles within the Greek American Heritage Society of Philadelphia and as co-founder of Cosmos Philly.
