Philadelphia, PA – The National Hellenic Student Association of North America hosted their spring 2015 Convention this past weekend. Greek-American Students from around the country came into Philadelphia to participate in a series of events.
On Friday, the students mingled with the Hellenic Medical Society of Philadelphia, at the International House (Penn U.). There, they got to know each other and some of the Philadelphia community. Drexel University hosted the organization on Saturday, with a series of lectures throughout the day. Guest speakers, Professor Robert Zaller, Ph.D. (Drexel U.) and Theoklis Zaoutis, MD (U. Penn.) highlighted the affair.
The weekend concluded with participation at the Greek Independence Day parade. There some 50 students joined and paraded along the Benjamin Franklin Parkway. President Konstantinos Ouranitsas, President of the National Hellenic Student Association of North America said, “It’s the second time we’ve hosted the event in Philadelphia. It continues to be a place the students appreciate visiting and we hope to have the opportunity to do it again.”
The event was sponsored by the Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia, the Hellenic Medical Society of Philadelphia and the Greek-American Chamber of Commerce.
