February 23, 2012 — PGBL Hosts Its First-Ever All-Star Game

Before the championship showdown between the Kings and Warriors, the Philadelphia Greek Basketball League held its inaugural All-Star Game at St. Demetrios’ gym in Upper Darby.

Top players from both the Blue and White divisions took the court in a spirited exhibition that showcased the league’s talent and growing excitement. The matchup featured high-flying layups, flashy passes, and a barrage of three-point attempts — more than you’d expect in a typical PGBL game and reminiscent of NBA-style play.

Throughout the game, Cosmos Philly spotlighted some of the league’s most captivating players, capturing the energy and skill that have made the PGBL a fixture in the local Greek-American community.

In the end, the White Division came out on top, earning bragging rights with a win over the Blue.
