Upper Darby, PA – What’s not to love about this Greek Festival? It blends together a reputation for top-notch Greek food and tradition. The attention the parishioners pay to their cuisine is known throughout the Delaware Valley. Every Greek-American in the area knows their spanakopita, but for 4 days a year, these Greeks get to show off their entire kitchen skills.

Sprinkle it all with a few famed guests like the Philly Phanatic and Chris Maragos of the Super Bowl championship football team Philadelphia Eagles, and you have the making of an affair like no other. “It’s great being here. I love being Greek and the Loukoumades at this festival make me feel like I’m at home”, says Maragos who visited the Greek Festival in Upper Darby yesterday.

Maragos and the Philly Phanatic are part of the four-day affair that goes on through Sunday. Live Greek music will be featured tonight and a few other surprise guests. The food, folk dancing, church tours and indoor bazaar are all part of this annual May Greek Festival that is hosted in Upper Darby. Come out and visit them. It’s perfect for families and theirs plenty of free valet parking next door.
