Upper Darby, PA – Many smiling faces and memorable moments were on full display at the annual St. Demetrios Greek Festival in Upper Darby this past weekend. Just outside of West Philadelphia, the church grounds were filled with the sounds of Greek music, the aroma of grilled souvlaki, and the unmistakable warmth of community.
Cosmos Philly’s own Eleftherios Kostans was there once again, camera in hand, capturing the spirit of the festival from behind the lens. In Part 2 of this photo essay, he shares more scenes from the weekend—families sharing meals, volunteers hard at work, and friends catching up under the big tent.
These are the images that tell the story of why this festival continues to be one of the most anticipated events of the year. It’s not just about the food or the music—it’s about coming together, generation after generation, and keeping the tradition alive.
