Thanksgiving has many traditions. The Greek-American community in Philadelphia has added one of its own, the annual Pontian Dance. It’s been hosted now for 74 years on Thanksgiving weekend. On Friday evening the night before, a social gathering of sorts, called a Mouhapet was hosted at the Pontian club house. Pontian musicians, Babis Kemanetzidis and Stathis Pavlidis from Greece entertained the community with songs of Pontos. Image courtesy of Eleftherios Kostans.
