Cherry Hill, NJ – AHEPA Chapter #69 of Camden hosted its annual fall initiation at the AHEPA Hall at St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church yesterday. Members from districts four and five attended affair. Six new faces joined the ranks added to this very well respected chapter that participates in a range of philanthropic endeavors at both the local and national level.
Members from across the river from Upper Darby’s Thermopylae chapter and Hercules Spartan chapter of Philadelphia also attended the event, showing unity between the districts. “As I looked around this evening, I saw many young men in attendance and being sworn in”, said George Horiatis, AHEPA Supreme Treasurer, Esq., “It stands as a testament to the leadership and continued effort to evolve and grow our organization for the future”, he added.
AHEPA Camden Chapter is known as a regional and national leader chapter. They play a key role annually in many fundraising efforts, especially in the 5th District AHEPA Cancer Research Annual Gala. The annual event, reached a milestone last year by raising one million dollars after 27 years.
