Cherry Hill, NJ – It will take an estimated $38,000,000 to build the St. Nicholas shrine at ground zero in New York. Last night at Kaminski’s Bar and Grill, AHEPA chapter 69, Camden chipped in $15,000 with a Cigar and Bourbon fundraiser. George Pappas, President of the Camden chapter described the evening as inspirational, and hopes that other chapters across America will get involved as well, by hosting such events.
AHEPA headquarters in Washington, has pledged $500,000 over the course of the next two years, while private donors and solicitations have brought in an estimated additional 3 to 4 million dollars.
