On Sunday, July 25, 2021, AHEPA Supreme President George G. Horiatis will be laying a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Athens, Greece. Dignitaries from around the world will be in attendance for this historic moment.
The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier (Greek: Μνημείο του Αγνώστου Στρατιώτη) is a war memorial located in Syntagma Square in Athens, in front of the Old Royal Palace. It is a cenotaph dedicated to the Greek soldiers killed during the war. The tomb is guarded by the Evzones of the Presidential Guard.
The ceremony will take place at 10 am and is scheduled to be broadcasted live on Cosmos Philly’s website and Facebook page.
