February 26, 2012 – GOYA Girls Championship Thriller
In a nail-biting finish, the St. George of Media girls’ basketball team edged out Holy Trinity of Egg Harbor 12–11 to capture this year’s GOYA championship.
Down 11–8 at halftime, St. George rallied in the second half, locking down on defense and holding Holy Trinity scoreless. With under two minutes left, they took the lead—and never gave it back.
A hard-fought comeback and a championship well earned. Congratulations to the St. George girls on an unforgettable win!
