St. George Cathedral in Philadelphia is hosting a luncheon on Sunday, March 3, 2024, to welcome Rev. Father Anastasios, along with his wife, Presvytera Nicoletta, and their three daughters, Corina, Christina, and Gabriella. The luncheon will follow Father Anastasios’s inaugural Divine Liturgy at the Cathedral.

Father Anastasios is a highly respected priest in the Archdiocese and is returning to Philadelphia after serving at the Annunciation Cathedral in Baltimore. He was born in Tanagra, Greece, and has dedicated nearly 30 years of his life to the church. He has led congregations in Astoria, NY; Wilmington, DE; Richmond, VA; and Media, PA. Father Anastasios has also been instrumental in establishing youth programs across Eastern Europe and the Balkans as the Youth and Young Adult Ministries Director for the Archdiocese.

St. George Cathedral is thrilled to welcome Father Anastasios to lead its diverse, dynamic, and multi-generational congregation. The Cathedral has been a symbol of Hellenism in the shadow of the Liberty Bell for over a century and looks forward to continued growth and prosperity under Father Anastasios’s leadership.

All parishioners and community members are invited to attend the luncheon and celebrate this joyous occasion by extending their warmest greetings to Father Anastasios and his family.
