The Hellenic University Club of Philadelphia has opened applications for its 2026–2027 university and college scholarship program, offering financial support to undergraduate and graduate students of Greek descent or students pursuing Hellenic Studies.
The scholarship program includes a wide range of merit-based and need-based awards, supporting students across disciplines such as engineering, medicine, science, law, business, education, aviation, health-related fields, music, and the arts.
Eligibility
Applicants must be U.S. citizens or permanent residents and must either be of Greek descent or have declared a major in Hellenic Studies. Students must be enrolled in, or accepted into, an accredited four-year college or university and must enroll as full-time students in Fall 2026.
Additional eligibility requirements apply depending on residency, prior receipt of Hellenic University Club scholarships, and the specific scholarship applied for.
Undergraduate Scholarships
Undergraduate scholarships are available to qualified students with strong academic records. The program includes both need-based and merit-based awards, with individual scholarships ranging from $2,000 to $20,000.
Several scholarships honor prominent members of the Greek-American community and support students pursuing studies in fields such as engineering, business, hospitality management, science, aviation, health professions, and music. Some awards are restricted to high school seniors, while others are reserved for students already enrolled in undergraduate programs.
Certain undergraduate scholarships require demonstrated financial need, while others are awarded based solely on academic merit and achievement.
Graduate Scholarships
Graduate scholarships are available to students enrolling full-time in Fall 2026 in accredited graduate or professional programs. Eligible fields include medicine, dentistry, law, STEM disciplines, education, and related areas.
Graduate awards range from $1,500 to $10,000. Postdoctoral applicants are not eligible.
Scholarships Open to Undergraduate and Graduate Students
Additional scholarships are open to both undergraduate and graduate applicants. These include awards supporting studies in civil engineering, architecture, fine arts, and programs recognizing the children and descendants of members of the Philadelphia Veterans of Foreign Wars Eleftheria Post.
Some scholarships may be shared between equally qualified applicants.
How to Apply
Applicants must submit academic transcripts, a résumé, letters of recommendation, and a main essay. Some scholarships require additional essays. Applicants seeking need-based scholarships must also submit financial documentation as outlined in the application instructions.
All applications and supporting documents must be received by April 3, 2026.
