Cherry Hill, NJ – St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church marked a special milestone this past weekend, celebrating 45 years as a parish with a festive dinner dance at the Danielle Kousoulis Community Center. The evening brought together parishioners, friends, and leaders from across the community for an event filled with music, joy, and reflection.

Adding a personal touch to the night, the celebration paused to honor longtime parishioner George Burlotos, who turned 89 years young just days earlier. A birthday cake was brought out as the crowd applauded. Burlotos is well known throughout the region for his long-running television program, “Greek Spirit,” which first aired in 1984 and has showcased Greek culture for nearly four decades.

With over 875 member families spanning three counties, St. Thomas continues to thrive. From its Greek School to its senior housing project currently underway, the parish has grown into a pillar of faith, culture, and community leadership in South Jersey’s Greek-American life.
