Upper Darby, PA – St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church hosted its 2nd annual “Taste of Greece” fall food festival. From Moussaka to souvlaki to kalamari, the gymnasium filled with the aroma of Grecian food. Church and Greek school dance groups added to the fun by performing for the attendees.
Parishioners, family members, dance groups, and children—fellow members—came together to serve food and manage the event that filled the gym. Freshly prepared food from the kitchen and tent area was a constant, as one observer told me. “We make everything fresh on the premises for this event.”
