Upper Darby, PA – The Greek American community danced the night away at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church. They brought in the new year with the sounds of Greek music and count down and plenty of balloons dropping from the ceiling of the church. 2016 had expired, and the guests at the dance welcomed in the new year with plenty of cheer.

Stoxos Entertainment provided the traditional sounds of Greek music. Their performers walked around the dance floor with drum and clarina, while singers bellowed out songs of love and passion in Greek. Circle dances were formed, layer after layer with Greeks of all ages, holding hands and singing along. The St. Demetrios parishioners and friends helped catered the affair that drew some 250 attendees. The guests rotated food for dance and then a drink, as they filled their night with this historical memory.
