Spiridoula ”Roula” Mallelis Macricostas, 84, of Brookhaven fell asleep in the Lord on November 5, 2019, peacefully in her home. Born in Piraeus, Greece, she was the daughter of the late Christos and Marianthi Mallelis and moved with her husband and children to the United States in 1969.

Spiridoula was employed as a Food Packer for Astra Foods and was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. She also was a Parishioner and Volunteer at The Greek Orthodox Church of St. Sophia in Valley Forge, PA, and a former member of Philoptochos. Spiridoula was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and loved her home and was very proud of her Greek heritage.

She was predeceased by her loving husband of 26 years, Dimitrios Macricostas, who died November 29,1981, and her siblings, Vasilia Mallelis, Dimitra Marinos, and Ioannis Mallelis.

Spiridoula was the mother of Maria Macricostas, Christina Macricostas, Eliana Bellos (Engelos) and Elias Macricostas (Abigail); Yiayia of Olympia (Eric), Jimmy, Alexis (Michael), Veronia, Dimitri (Angela), Elias (Deanna), Stacie (Nick), Tino, Christina, Spiridoula, Ezekiel; (Great) Yiayia of Spiridoula (Dylan), Desmond, Eric, Annalise, Michael, Jr., Angelina, Sophia, Kristina, Evan, Mia, Demi, Leo, Yanni, Vangelaki and Engelo; (Great Great) Yiayia of Arianna and Owen; and sister of Evangelia Platopoulou, Irini Georgiou and Panagioti Mallelis; also, survived by her step-grandsons, Nathaniel, Gabriel and Samuel.

Funeral Service: 11:00 am, Monday, November 11, 2019, at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 Forge Road, Media, PA 19063, where relatives and friends may call after 10:00 am.

Burial: Chester Rural Cemetery.
