Broomall, PA – The Pan-Macedonian Association of Greater Philadelphia hosted it’s annual dance this past Saturday evening. Two dance performances highlighted the evening. The Youth of Alexander the Great Spirit of Macedonia Dance group (Philadelphia) and the Megas Alexandros dance group of Boston captivated the crowd with their traditional folk dancing.
Local Philadelphia President, Costa Mitoulis welcomed the crowd with a prayer and greeting and then handed over the microphone to several other members including Maria Kotopoulos, Dina Verikakis and national Pan Macedonian President of USA Dimitris Chatzis. They all spoke respectively about the associations activities this past year.
The dance group traveled to Greece this past summer and performed all over the Macedonian region; including Litohoro (Katerini) and at the 3rd annual Macedonian gathering in Sitaria Florina.
