Upper Darby, PA – It was the second to last week for regular season play for the PGBL league yesterday. The power outage must have kept people home, because the gym was very quiet. Six teams met up and the games went on.
In game one, the Wolfpack and Rip City squared off. Rip City played a tough first half, and stayed close. But the second half was all the Wolfpacks as they thumped Rip City. Final score, Wolf Pack 77, Rip City 56.
The Sixers pushed aside FOB in game two. FOB played tough defense but seemed to miss a lot of shots, keeping them winless for their first year. The Sixers are playing safe and preparing for the playoffs. There currently sitting in the fifth spot with two others teams. Next week will determine who they will play in the first round. Final score: Sixers 58, FOB 49.
The Kings are looking hot! They ran floor with a series of fast breaks that kept us gasping while crushing the Spartans. Although their firmly in third place, they appear to be energized and ready to take on anyone who gets in their way. Final score: Kings 77, Spartans 33.
