With the regular season officially in the books, the PGBL playoffs are ready to heat up — and Sunday night gave fans a preview of what’s to come. All playoff contenders were in action, setting the tone for what promises to be an intense postseason.
Game 1: Danny’s Boys 73 – Rip City 64
Danny’s Boys returned to near full strength for the first time since early in the season — and it showed. With their core lineup back on the court, they controlled the game and handled Rip City with confidence. The win puts Danny’s Boys in a strong position heading into the playoffs.
Game 2: Kings 69 – Sixers 42
In a clash of PGBL veterans, the Kings came out sharp, playing solid team basketball from start to finish. The Sixers struggled to find their rhythm and were without key contributor Jim Armenakis. The game itself was competitive, but the Pack never lost focus. With a first-round bye secured, they now shift their sights fully to the championship.
