Philadelphia, PA. Ranked number ten in the world, Greece is on the road to the 2014 World Cup in Brazil, which kicks off on June 14 against Colombia.
On Tuesday, June 3, at 7:00 p.m., a historic moment will take place in the Philadelphia area. The Greek national team will face Nigeria in a warm-up match at PPL Park in Chester, just minutes from Center City.
The Greek community is already gearing up for the visit. Ticket sales are moving quickly, and pre- and post-game tailgate parties are being planned. After the match, Greek singer Kalomira will perform under the big tent at the stadium in a special concert arranged for the community.
The event is hosted by PPL Park in association with Soccer United Marketing, Major League Soccer, and the Philadelphia Union.
