Broomall, PA – Nearly eighteen years (1995-1996) have passed since Iconographer George Papastamatiou painted the dome and roof of St. Luke Greek Orthodox church. This past month Papastamatiou began a three stage project that begun with the painting of the hagiography in the sanctuary.

Papastamatiou work can be found in churches of different denominations around the world. His company Byzantine Artworks LLC has been called on time and again for their work. George is one of the most widely recognized Byzantine iconographers alive today. Along with a support staff of artisans and craftspeople Byzantine Artworks has developed a wide range of capabilities, from design consulting, master plans and restorations, to the production of the finished art work including mosaics, iconography, stained glass and stonework.

Papastamatiou work will conclude in February, when he returns for the third and final stage, that will take him three weeks to complete.
