Isidoros Zanikos, affectionately known as “Izzy” and endearingly as “Saki” passed away Friday morning, February 5, 2016 at his home.
Izzy loved his family and friends, cherished his Greek heritage, and valued education. These values he received from his parents, Zannis and Maria, and passed them on to all who got to know him.
Most of all he possessed a deep faith in God, which never wavered.
Izzy is survived by his wife Elaine of 33 years, son John and wife Jessica, daughter Maria and husband Chris, and son Demetri.
Services will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Rd, Media, PA 19063.
A viewing will be held Wednesday evening February 10, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A viewing will be held Thursday 10:00 am, followed immediately by a funeral service. All are invited to the burial service at Edgewood Memorial Park and “Makaria” luncheon.
In lieu of flowers, donations to Izzy’s favorite charities: Saint Basil Academy in Garrison, NY, International Orthodox Christian Charities (IOCC), and St. George Church Memorial Fund.
