September 15, 2012. Basile, arguable America’s most popular Greek American comedian today, visited the Philadelphia metropolitan are this past week. Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox church in Wilmington, Delaware was the scene of laughter that echoed into the parking lot outside. Sponsored by local chapter Ahepa #95, the event drew some 300 members of the Greek community. Having recently returned from a 5 month tour down under (Australia) , Basile continued right where he left off. Walking through the crowed and shaking hands, Basile entered the auditorium/gym and showed us some of his famous sidestepping Greek dancing. For nearly an hour and half, he touched on family, friends and his trip down under which he talked about with Cosmos Philly interview before the show.

Even after the show, Basile showed us what makes him special. Shaking hands, giving out hugs and telling more jokes, while selling a few dvd’s were all part of his charm.
