Hainesport, NJ – After two years of hiatus due to the Corona Virus pandemic, members of the “Kali Parea” of Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox parish held their annual “Ladies luncheon” to honor their wives, sweethearts, and guests.

Louis (Leonardos) Manousis, the Parea’s spokesman, welcomed the ladies, as did Jerry Hanos, the Chair of the St. Thomas Senior Citizens. A total of 53 people attended the Saturday, February 19, 2022 luncheon, held at the famous “Diamond Diner” of Kostas Diamandis at Hainesport, NJ, to celebrate the event, appropriately in conjunction; with the recent “Saint Valentine’s Day.”

The “Καλή Παρέα” [“Good Company”] is an informal group of retired Greek-Americans, established over a decade ago, that meet from 10:00 to Noon on Wednesdays at the Saint Thomas Greek Orthodox Church grounds, for coffee and free discussion and camaraderie. Many come from far beyond the St. Thomas parish, and guests and new members are especially welcome.
