Anita O. Xanthos Nicolaides, 78, of Oxford died August 30, 2018, at Jennersville Regional Hospital. Born in Long Island, NY, daughter of the late Costas and Athena Stella Panogakos Xanthos, she lived in Chester before moving to Oxford 15 years ago.

Anita was a 1957 graduate of Culver City High School in California. She was a member of St. George Greek Orthodox Church and the Daughters of Penelope. She was employed as an OB/GYN Office Manager for 30 years, the last 10 years at Riddle Memorial Hospital, before retiring in 2007. Anita was proud of her Greek Heritage, loved Greek cooking, gardening, and her fur babies. She and her husband enjoyed boating on the Chesapeake with their family, especially their grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Thomas P. Nicolaides, her children Michael P. Nicolaides (Laura), Steven T. Nicolaides (Roberta), Christine A. Nicolaides Hesling (Edward), Paula M. Nicolaides Poplos (David) and her brother Philip Xanthos (Judy). She was a loving YiaYia to her 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 E. Forge Rd, Media, PA 19063, Thursday, September 6, 2018, 6 to 8 PM and Friday, September 7, 2018, 10:00 AM. Funeral Service will be at 11:00 AM, followed by burial at Oxford Cemetery. Memorial Gifts may be made to the American Autoimmune Related Disease Association, Inc.
