The Armenian community of Greater Philadelphia came together this past Saturday to march in recognition of the Armenian Genocide. The Armenian Genocide, which lasted from 1915-1918, was the first genocide of the 20th century and is still unrecognized by the US government.
The Genocide walk took place at Independence Mall in Old city Philadelphia and was sponsored in part by, by the Armenian Inter- communal committee of Philadelphia.
