On Monday, December 13, 2021, St. Thomas Greek Orthodox Church in Cherry Hill, NJ, hosted a “Joyous Christmas Celebration” with His Eminence Archbishop Elpidophoros of America and the participation of the parishes of the Delaware Valley area. This event was organized by the Metropolis Chancellor Father Christoforos Oikonomidis and with the collaboration of the Delaware Valley Vicar Fr. Anastasios Bourantas and the clergy of the area.
The St. Thomas Hellenic School students and many families and youth from the Parishes of the Delaware Valley region came together to sing Christmas songs and Kalanda – Carols for His Eminence in a happy and festive atmosphere. The Archbishop distributed gifts and blessings to the children and wished them Merry Christmas – Καλά Χριστούγεννα! The youth presented our Archbishop with a small gift to commemorate his visit, the icon of the Three Holy Children, the patron saints for the Youth Ministry programs of the Greek Orthodox Archdiocese of America.
