Berri, Australia – Two hundred and fifty Greek Orthodox faithful attended the Dormition of Virgin Mary Services at the Kimisis Tis Panagias Church. Three priests, Father Diogenes of St. George, Thebarton, Father Michael of Saint Andrew, Noarlunga, and Father Demetrios Moraitis of the Riverlands, shared the duties of the day.
Guests circled the church with an icon of the Virgin Mary during the annual services and then shared a traditional Greek meal in the patio of the church grounds. Church services in the Riverlands of South Australia are hosted and shared amongst several facilities. The town of Berri, Barmara, and Renmark alternate the services.
