Renowned Greek singer Dimitris Mpasis is set to take the stage at the Adelphia Restaurant & Event Center in Deptford on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at 6:00 pm. The event promises an enchanting evening of Greek music, blending traditional and contemporary styles.
Born Dimitrios Bibasis in Stuttgart, Germany, Mpasis moved to Greece at age eight, where he discovered his passion for music through Byzantine chants and church liturgies. His debut album “Me tin Fora tou Anemou” in 1996 marked the beginning of a stellar career, featuring collaborations with Greek music legends like Mikis Theodorakis and Haris Alexiou.
Mpasis’s powerful voice and passionate performances have earned him international acclaim. His unique style, combining laiko and modern Greek music, resonates deeply with audiences, evoking memories of Greece’s rich cultural heritage.
The Deptford concert will also showcase talents including Nefeli Fasouli, bouzouki player Yiannis Sinanis, and the Synphonia Band under Achilleas Wastor’s direction. Proceeds from the event will support the 2025 Greek Independence Parade and Celebrations.
