The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church in Elkins Park is preparing to welcome visitors to this year’s OPA! Festival, taking place from Thursday, May 8, through Sunday, May 11, 2025. Held at 7921 Old York Road, the festival brings together food, music, cultural activities, and community spirit across four days of celebration. Admission is free.

Live music will feature throughout the festival, with the Kefi band performing on Thursday and Apollonia with Maria Pearce and Tony Pearce taking the stage on Saturday. Additional musical acts are listed at epgreekfest.com.

Food remains a central part of the event, with a menu that includes the popular gyro, served fresh from the cone, along with dishes like moussaka, spanakopita, lemon chicken, and a wide selection of Greek pastries. Specialty Greek beers, wines, and coffees will also be available.

Visitors will also have the chance to see traditional Greek dances performed by youth groups, as well as group dances representing the wider region. Church tours offer a look into the Orthodox faith and the history of the parish.

The festival is designed to be welcoming for all ages, with games and activities set up under the festival’s largest tent to date. Rain or shine, families will find plenty to enjoy. The event also continues its tradition of supporting local charities through contributions raised during the festival.

Festival Hours:

Thursday, May 8: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM
Friday, May 9: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
Saturday, May 10: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM
