Upper Darby, PA – The Federation of Hellenic-American Societies of Philadelphia and Greater Delaware Valley hosted its post-Greek Independence Day parade dinner and meeting this past Thursday.
Throughout the evening, organization leaders were asked to comment on the pros and cons of this year’s march. Many said, the return of the Evzones from Greece after some 20 years reinvigorated the parade, which saw a record number of participants and attendance. The parade marked a shift for the Federation whose popularity continues grow. This year’s parade was said to be one of the best in recent history.
In June, the Federation will host its next meeting to discuss the 2017 parade changes and campaign. You can visit their website to see photographs and video coverage of this year’s parade.
