The Federation of Hellenic American Societies of Delaware Valley recently held its first meeting of the season at St. George Cathedral in Philadelphia, marking the beginning of what promises to be an exciting year filled with cultural events and community engagement. President Harry Karapalides expressed his enthusiasm about the year ahead and shared details of the Federation’s upcoming plans.

One of the most highly anticipated events of the year is the concert by famed Greek singer Dimitri Mpasis, scheduled for October 20th, 2024, at the Adelphia Restaurant in New Jersey. This is expected to be a spectacular evening of music, and the Federation encourages everyone in the community to join. For tickets and information, call (609) 741-7275. “We’d love to see you there; it’ll be a great concert,” Karapalides said, highlighting the importance of the event as a major cultural gathering.

The Federation extends its gratitude to all the members who attended the meeting and contributed to the planning of what promises to be a memorable and eventful year.

In addition to the concert, the Federation’s Young Leaders subdivision is also gearing up for a busy season. Vanessa Constantinidis, a member of the group, announced their first event for young professionals, “Parea and Poto,” which will take place on Tuesday, September 24th at 6:30 p.m. at Uptown Beer Garden. The event will serve as a fall kickoff and a chance for young Hellenic leaders to connect and network in a relaxed social setting.

For more information about upcoming events, including “Parea and Poto,” you can visit the Federation’s Instagram accounts (@HellenicFed and @GreeksInPhilly) or contact the Young Leaders directly at FHASYoungeaders@gmail.com to join their mailing list.
