George Zarganakis from Morton passed away on December 28, 2018. He emigrated from Greece in 1974 after serving in the Greek military. He was a man who enjoyed fishing, crabbing, dancing, and gathering with friends and family. In short, he enjoyed life. You could frequently find him working in his garage or garden. He was very proud of working through all the positions in the restaurant industry eventually owning his own. His greatest enjoyment was playing with his kids and grandchildren and also making the world’s most interesting salads.
He is survived by his wife Olga, his son George Charles, his step-daughter Christina (Agapios), step-son Michael (Athena), his grandchildren Paul, Anastasia, Antonia, Amelie, and Demitri, his brothers Stergios (Xanthi) and Lefteris (Brigitta), his niece: Xanthi and his nephews George (Roula) and Dimitrios.
Viewing is from 7 to 9 pm on Thursday evening, and 10 to 11 am on Friday at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 30 East Forge Rd, Media, PA 19063. The funeral is at 11 am Friday at the church. Interment: Media Cemetery.
